Laval Rocket-Monthly overview-March 2021

This month, the Laval Rocket had a lot hockey to play ahead of them ! Playing 13 games and on the road for 8 of them. The team proving themselves as one of the best teams in the AHL. Bouchard and his team overcame many obstacles they had to face and shinned bright when they needed to be.All players from forwards, to defence and goalies were at their best. They also went on a 6 game winning streak. Their record for 13 games played this month is 10-2-0-1.

The Rocket swept the Stockton Heat while on the road with a record of 4-0-0.

What do look into for the 13 games?

Forwards:

#14- Teasdale (LW)7 assists and 5 goals (12 points) in 13 games played this month.

#46-Blandisi (C) 7 assists and 7 goals (14 points) in 13 games played this month.

#26-Ylönen (RW)3 assists and 5 goals (8 points) in 12 games played this month.

#41- Poehling (C)8 assists and 4 goals (12 points) in 13 games played this month.

Defence

#28-Leskinen (D)- 6 assists and 1 goal (7 points) in 13 games played this month.

#6-Schueneman (D)- 5 assists and 1 goal (6 points) in 13 games played this month.

#8 Brook (D)5 assists and 1 goal (6 points) in 13 games played this month.

Goalies

#31-Primeau-He had 9 starts and his record for this month is 7-2-0. He also had his first shutout win of the season versus the Manitoba Moose on March 11.

#3-McNiven-He had 4 starts and his record this month is 3-0-0-1.

New Additions

Rocket adding even more talent to the line up with Cole Caufield joining the the team after his 7 days quarantine. Bouchard will be able to play this first round pick in many situations. This will make the team even more exciting and we can’t wait to see it!

Despite not having any playoffs this season, it is great to see the young talent developing and having the winning mentality. The Rocket are almost done their season with only 15 games remaining between April and May.
